street gangs, underage drinking and teen-age runaways. Turley
has also been featured in Marquee Magazine’s filmmaker
edition, showcasing outstanding filmmakers in the Southwest.
Throughout her career, Turley has written, produced and
directed several short films including Bad Vibes, Conception;
A Suburban Tale and Table For One, of which all had winning
runs on the independent film festival circuit.
Recently,
Turley’s directorial feature film debut, The M.O.
of M.I, has successfully played across the country, selling
out to over 25 venues in major cities including New York,
Chicago and Philadelphia. The film received a favorable
review from Variety and picked up an Audience Choice Award
at the Fire Island Film Festival. The film is domestically
distributed by Ardustry Home Entertainment and is widely
available at Blockbuster, Hollywood Video, and Tower Records
as well as online.
Her
up-coming feature film, Changing Spots, is based on her
award-winning screenplay, which took first place awards
in both the WinFemme Film Festival screenwriting competition
and the Movie Mid-Wifing screenplay contest. It is currently
in pre-production in Los Angeles.
